BURN CARE DAY,2015

On the 15th February 2015,a burn care day was organised by the Burn Care Foundation (a social unit of NEMCARE Hospital,Assam) to raise awareness of the issue of burns in India.Staffs and students of NEPNI along with over 600 people attended the day including doctors, nurses and other health professionals,journalists and many members of the public.Sri Homen Borgohain ,a very senior journalist and writer was the Chief Guest Dr.B.P.Sarma spoke with audio visual aids about the problems faced by burn injured patients and the scarcity of treatment facilities in the region of Assam.Dr.P.K.Bilwani spoke on first aid and preventive measures.He also emphasized that Burn Care Foundation should spread the message about burn care and its prevention to the general public through the media of newspaper and television.
