ABOUT NEPNI LIBRARY:
We have a well-furnished and spacious (approx. 2400 Sqft) library with 24x7 CCTv surveillance for Nursing and Paramedical students with seating capacity of 80 Students, located on the 3rd floor of the Institution building. It has books, journals (both National and International subscriptions) general reading magazines and news papers for the use of students and staff. Students can also avail the internet facilities with permission. The students are encouraged to make full use of the resources and abide by the rules and regulations of the library. The regular use of the library helps the students to widen the horizon of their professional knowledge and also be in touch with current information and development. A strong library enhances the academic life of students. The Library has been automated by using library management software for providing smooth library services to its users. The library functions nearly 8 hours daily under the guidance of professional library staff. Tracking of distributed books is done through the online system.
Library facilitated with 3000+ textbooks of latest literatures for Nursing and Paramedical departments. The textbooks as prescribed in the University syllabus, and recommended by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) New Delhi makes a Special library. Apart from this, the library holds a special collection of competitive books corner, English and Assamese literature, news paper corner, general Magazine corner etc. The library is updated periodically with latest edition of text books and journals.
Electronic library (e-library) facility is also available in our library. Our E-Library contains collection of e-books for all departments, stored as electronic media formats. E- Library enhances the access to large amounts of information to students and staff.
LIBRARY TIMINGS:
The Library currently kept open on all the working days. Monday to Saturday: 9.30 AM to 7.30 PM
CIRCULATION SECTION:
Online Registration for membership, issue of books, return of books and issue of due date’s particulars are being carried out in this section.
REFERENCE SECTION:
The section holds encyclopedias, dictionaries and gazettes, competitive examination books, and previous year’s model question papers, etc. Readers need to access their resources from the reference collection. Reference books are not for lending. They can be used inside the library and if needed can be photocopied with permission.
NEWSPAPER READING:
Near to the circulation counter is located the newspaper reading place. A notice board and a display are provided to paper cutting Xerox and all the current information will display the day to day current information in the notice board.
BACK VOLUMES:
Back volume corner supply print journals, back volumes and back issues of print journals and serials. Journals offer a comprehensive collection of all available back volumes and back issues. The valuable Back Volumes are exclusively for the students and staff.
