REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY 2017

The International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 since 1965.May 12 is an important date to all the nurses, as it is the anniversary of the birth of FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE, the founder president of Modern nursing.
THEME OF THE YEAR 2017: “A Voice To Lead, Achieving The Sustainable Development Goal”.
We the NEPNI School of nursing have also celebrated nurse’s day in our school auditorium. On this day itself we have published our wall magazine named “SURYA SARATHI” which was inaugurated by our Chief Guest, Executive President Mr. Babul Ali. He delivered a speech on the theme and goals on focusing peace, justice and strong institution(Goal 16).Our trustee member Respected Mrs. Khursida Begum have conveyed message to our students saying that a nurses should always be truthful and sincere while dealing with the patient. Our Respected principal Madam Mrs. Bina Borah have also delivered a speech on Good Health and Wellbeing(goal 3),Gender Equality (goal 5) and Reduced inequalities(goal 10).The programme was concluded by our school advisor Mr. Harendra Haloi by giving a talk on the importance of quality care in nursing field.
A light refreshment was also arranged for all the students and staff. After that all the faculty and the students went to Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakhetra to attend the programme of nurses day which was organized by Govt. of Assam.
