International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day focuses on nurses' health and well-being and highlights the critical role of a healthy nursing workforce in supporting the overall healthcare system. International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 each year. This day marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. International Nurses Day recognises and appreciates the vital contributions nurses make to the healthcare system and society at large.Each year, International Nurses Day highlights a specific theme. The theme for International Nurses Day 2025 is 'Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies.'

We, the NEPNI Group of Institutions family celebrated this day to honor and celebrate our future nurses.

The program started with the welcome note by Jyotishmita Nath, Tutor, NEPNI School and College of Nursing followed by lamp lighting.

The theme was unfolded by Madam Mrs. Bina Borah, Principal, NEPNI School of Nursing.

The special event of the agenda was presenting the merit scholarship to a very brave girl who was diagnosed with the life threatening disease Stomach Cancer a year ago. Her name is Nandita Das from B.Sc. Nursing College, Dibrugarh.

The celebration turned to into the world of colors, rhythms, and expressions with various cultural events by the students of NEPNI School and College of Nursing.

On occasion of this special day a few competition like Poster Competition, drawing competition and Extempore speech were held with numerous participants. The prizes were distributed among the winners to encourage and motivate the students for future participation in any event.

The celebration concluded with the inauguration of Wall Magazine prepared by the B.Sc. Nursing 5th Semester students.
