INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY

THEME : “Nurses – a voice to lead. Health is a human Right”
VENUE : Library cum multipurpose hall , NEPNI School of Nursing.
International Nurses Day is celebrated every year all around the world on 12th May to commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, and to mark the nurses contribution towards people’s health.
The program started at around 10:30 am. Smti. Mrinalini Devi ,renowned writer cum President, Mahanagar Sahitya Sabha and Mrs. Madhuri Khaklani, former Principal ,NEPNI School of Nursing were being invited to grace the occasion. Apart from them, Mr. Babul Ali, Executive President, NEPNI School of Nursing, GNM and ANM Principal Maam, all the teaching and non teaching staff and the students of both ANM and GNM were present during the programme.
The Programme started with a welcome song by GNM and ANM Students, followed by a welcome address by Mrs. Bina Borah, GNM Principal. Later, inauguration of the wall magazine was done by Mrs. Mrinalini Devi followed by an enlighten speech by Mrs. Mrinalini Devi. The theme was unfolded by Mrs. Raihana Akhtar, Senior tutor. In the later half, prize distribution ceremony was organized to distribute the prizes amongst the winners of various competition which was held on the 9th and 10th of May as a part of International Nurses Day Celebration. The programme concluded with various types of cultural programme by NEPNI Students and a vote of thanks by Mrs. Dipti Nath Baruah,Tutor, NEPNI School of Nursing.
