INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY

THEME: “THE BALANCE OF MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT ’’
VENUE: Library cum Multipurpose Hall, NEPNI School of Nursing
International Nurses Day is observed on May 12 every year to honor the contributions made by the nurses in the society. It is celebrated on birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
The program started at around 10.30 am. Mrs. Tinat Atifa Masood , Writer cum Blogger and teaching faculty of Asian Institute of Technology and Dr. Dinesh Baishya, Ex Principal of B .Boroaah College were being invited to grace the occasion. Apart from them Mr. Babul Ali, Executive President, NEPNI School of Nursing, GNM and ANM Principal Maam, all the teaching and non teaching staff and the students of both ANM and GNM were present during the programme.
The programme started with a welcome song by ANM students, followed by a welcome address by Mrs. Raihana Akhtar, Senior Tutor. The theme was unfolded by GNM 2nd year student Miss Salma Parbin . Later Lamp lighting and Wall magazine inauguration was done by Mrs. Tinat Atifa Masood along with cake cutting followed by an enlighten speech by Mrs. Tinat Atifa Masood . In the later half, prize distribution ceremony was organized to distribute the prize among the students, who has secured 1st and 2nd position in Council examination, both ANM and GNM. The programme concluded with various types of cultural programme performed by NEPNI students and a vote of thanks by Mrs. Bina Borah, GNM Principal, NEPNI School of Nursing.
