Librarians' Day was celebrated in NEPNI School of Nursing on 12th August,2015 in its own premises.Dr.S.R Ranganathan is considered to be the father of library science,documentation and information science in India and is widely known throughout the rest of the world for his fundamental thinking in the field.His birthday is observed every year as the National Library Day in India.Ranganathan framed the five laws of the library science and the colon classification of the books.He is considered as the father of Library Movement in India.Librarianship is a noble profession .The NEPNIANS celebrate the day to encourage reading and create awareness among students on the proper use of the books.
