FLOOD RELIEF 2022

Assam, a state prone to flooding and erosion, has been inundated with huge flooding and landslides covering nearly 28 districts in recent 2022. Many villages have been impacted by flood incidents, destroying homes and making entire communities homeless. Most displaced people started living in small crowded spaces in camps or on makeshift boats, with little food and other supplies. Health and hygiene have been major concerns for children, who also became victims of malnutrition.
Thus responding to recent Assam Floods 2022 and as part of continuing social activity, NEPNI TRUST which is a public charitable trust has come out to provide FLOOD RELIEF to affected people. On 15th and 16th July, 2022, a team from NEPNI TRUST have engaged themselves in providing flood relief support to more than 300 flood affected families in Kamrup rural areas like Dimu, Sipajhar.....The selected location was devasted and many people became homeless and shifted to the safe places. NEPNI TRUST distributed dry ration kits including 10kgs of rice, 5kgs of atta, 2kgs od lentil, 1kg of daal, 1kg of sugar,1kg of salt, 1kg of soyabeans, 2litre of mustard oil, ½ kg of tea and also distributed hygiene kits which includes dettol, soap, washing powder, phenyl, bleaching powder, etc.
The Executive President of NEPNI TRUST Mr. Babul Ali, trustee member Mrs. Khursida Begum took active participation in the distribution camp along with a dedicated team of volunteers. The local people of the flood affected villages expressed their sincere gratitude and thanks towards the kind gesture and support provided by NEPNI TRUST.
