Republic Day
26th January, 2017
Many people throughout India celebrate the nation’s Republic Day, which is a gazetted holiday on January 26 each year. It is a day to remember when India’s constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, completing the country’s transition towards becoming an independent republic.
NEPNI School of Nursing celebrated this day with great fun and enjoyment. We all gathered at the school library by 7:30 am. Flag hosting was done by chief guest Madam Damayanti Devi around 8:30 am. The National Anthem was sang by all the gathered people. Then we proceeded our programme around 9:00 am. Firstly, welcome address was given by 3rd year student Miss Purnima Bhuyan followed by welcome song by students. After that we felicitated our guest accompanied by teachers and students.
Then our guests gave their valuable speech followed by a motivational speech by our Executive President Babul Ali. After that patriotic dance was performed by Dipika Das (2nd year GNM).
The programme was hosted by Miss Purnima Bhuyan (GNM 3rd year student). Lastly, vote of thanks was given by our Administrative Officer Mrs. Rashida Begum.
