REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

On the auspicious morning of 26th Jan. 2020 NEPNI School of Nursing celebrated the 71st Republic Day of this country in the academic premises. It was a matter of great pride for the NEPNI family to have (Retd) Lt. Col. Mr. Ashutosh Tripathy, Managing Director, Polo and Riding Club Guwahati as our Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed and received by the staffs led by our Executive President Mr. Babul Ali for the occasion and accompanied to function venue for flag hoisting. With pride and dignity he unfurled our national flag. The flag hoisting was followed by national anthem which was led by 2nd year GNM choir.
After the flag hoisting, simultaneously everyone moved towards the hall for the proceeding with the rest of the program. The chief guest was felicitated with a Phulam Gamusa, a memento and a gift as a gesture of appreciation. He then, conveyed a propitious message on the purpose of celebrating Republic Day throughout the whole country.
The following program included a speech from our Executive President, patriotic song and dance from the students. Finally with a vote of thanks from our Principal Mrs. Bina Borah the program concluded as a grant success.
Visit to Guwahati Riding & Polo Club
After the flag hoisting ceremony in the morning, some faculties both teaching and administrative staffs along with 30 students visited the Polo and Riding Club,Guwahati. The officials and other members of the club welcomed us with warm greetings.
The program started with a small felicitation session and flag hoisting ceremony where our respective Executive President Mr. Babul Ali was awarded with a memento and hoisted the National flag which was followed by a National Anthem.
All the staffs and students were obliged to have a new experience of horse riding at the club. Later, it was announced by the Managing Director of the Polo and Riding Club (Retd) Lt. Col. Mr. Ashutosh Tripathy that, 5 faculties and 5 students of NEPNI School of Nursing are given free membership for a course of horse riding training. Needless to say, the whole NEPNI family had worn the appearance of beautiful pride and gratitude towards the wonderful gesture by the club.
Finally lunch was served and despite the weather being inclement Republic day was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
