EVENT: “SARASWATI PUJA”

Saraswati is the goddess of learning art, wisdom and intellect. The celebration of the Basant Panchami or Saraswati Puja is centered on the Hindu goddess Saraswati. Every schools and colleges in entire India celebrate this festival between the month of January and February. Pens, note-books and pencils are placed near the goddess Saraswati Devi”s feet to be blessed before they are used by students. Students wear colour dresses (preferably Mekhela Chador) and participate in the festival to gain knowledge, wisdom and blessing.

NEPNI School of Nursing also celebrated the day on 30/01/2020 in the school premises. The students of GNM 3rd year have arranged all the necessary items required for the Puja. Worshipping of goddess Saraswati started in the early morning and students along with the faculty and non-teaching staff enjoyed the whole day. After the Puja, Prasad was being distributed among the staff followed by lunch among the gathered people.
