TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
5th September, 2018
Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and includes celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general. The birth date of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 5 September 1888, has been celebrated as Teacher's Day since 1962.
The students of NEPNI organize Teacher’s day programme on 5th September every year in the school auditorium. And this year also, the students celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm. Various cultural programmes were being performed by the students of NEPNI. They thanked every teacher for their dedicated services to the school and distributed gifts amongst them. Our GNM Principal Maam Mrs. Bina Borah has cut the cake bought by the students along with the other teachers. Most significantly, the teachers equally participated in the programme and performed singing, dancing, etc. The students also came out with a new idea of playing a game amongst the teachers and non-teaching staff where we need to pick up a sheet of paper and perform the task accordingly, followed by another game called Dum-charades. Some had to act, sing, dance, etc and we all enjoyed the game to the fullest. At the end, the students also made arrangement for a delicious lunch party and the event ended successfully.
