NEPNI organizes Teachers Day, unveiling of the statue of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and Farewell 2022
GUWAHATI, September 4th, 2022- NEPNI Group of Institutions, a premier Institute under NEPNI Trust (North East Paramedical and Nursing Institute), located in Alikash under Kamrup district organized its Teachers Day, unveiling of the statue of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and Farewell 2022 for nursing and allied health sciences students at their own institutional campus with great fervor.
The entire gamut of faculty from the Nursing department and the Allied Health Sciences department of NEPNI Group of Institutions celebrated Teachers Day today. The celebration began with paying homage and floral tributes to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. We have extended our wings to mark this occasion by felicitating a good number of successful and dedicated teachers of Kamrup district.
The Executive President of NEPNI Group of Institutions, Mr. Babul Ali, Dr. Biswaranjan Samal, Additional Chief Secretary, Food and Civil suppy and Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of Assam, Dr. Achyut Ch. Baishya, Principal cum Chief Superintendent, GMCH, Guwahati, Mr. Javed Ali, Former professor and HoD (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), TMCH, Tezpur and Mr. Pranjal Saikia, veteran actor and an active social worker, thanked all the teachers for imparting wisdom, skill & knowledge, igniting great minds and being guiding light for the futuristic world. Students presented a dance programme. The programme ended with the distribution of gifts and token of appreciation to the teachers for their invaluable service to the institution.
On this day, we, at NEPNI Group of Institutions, remembered Dr. Bhupen Hazarika on his upcoming birthday on 8th September, unveiled a statue of him by eminent personalities including veteran author and song writer, Mrs. Manjula Hazarika, and members of Bhupen Hazarika TRUST along with our Executive President, Mr Babul Ali, Principal, NEPNI School of Nursing, Mrs. Bina Borah and various members of the institute. On this momentous occasion, a welcome speech was delivered by the Principal, NEPNI School of Nursing followed by the unveiling of the statue with great enthusiasm.
Last but not the least; the day was followed by the final event i.e. Farewell to the outgoing students of ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery), GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery), DRAI (Diploma in Radiography & Advanced Imaging) and DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology). Much appreciation was bagged by the performers for the outgoing students for their enthusiastic participation in varied cultural programmes and presentations.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive President and visionary of NEPNI Trust, Babul Ali, said that it is his aim to make NEPNI an all-inclusive centre of excellence in nursing and allied health sciences education in Assam and the region. He is confident that with necessary participation from required quarters, NEPNI Trust shall be able to expand its present infrastructure to accommodate more programs and disciplines. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Rashida Begum, Administrative Officer, NEPNI Group of Institutions.
Many could be seen clicking pictures with the teachers to capture some beautiful memories of their journey with the institution forever. Thus ended a beautiful evening marked with both happiness and sadness, and also tons of memories.
