Report on “World breast feeding week”

THEME :-  “ BREAST FEEDING : Foundation of life”

VENUE :- Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital

 

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from 1st to 7th August to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world.

Based on the them , the students of NEPNI School of Nursing (GNM 3rd  Year) year organized a health education programme  highlighting  the importance of breastfeeding, its advantages as well as techniques of breastfeeding by preparing posters, model as  well as demonstration.

The target group is postnatal mother, antenatal mother as well as outdoor patients present in the hospital.

After completion of the health programme, the students distributed handouts and leaflets to the group gathered during the programme. The group is well motivated and understood the importance of breastfeeding.
