The international yoga day is celebrated on 21st June every year. It was first introduced by the United Nations on 21st June / 2015.The main aim is to create awareness worldwide on the importance of staying fit and health.
Yoga is a physical, mental and / or spiritual practice attributed mostly in India. Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well being.
Thus keeping this thought in mind on 21st June 2018, the staff and the students of NEPNI School of Nursing gathered together to practice a few steps of Yoga under the guidance of Ms. Tunamoni Baruah, Chief Instructor of Yoga and naturopathy along with acupressure therapy in Arogya Kendra, Ghoramara, which created a sense of oneness, harmony and peace among each other.
