Report on “World Environment Day”

THEME :-  “BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION”

World environment day occurs on the 5TH of June every year, and is the United Nation’s principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. First held in 1974, it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming ,to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime..

NEPNI School of Nursing celebrated this day on 5th June, 2018 by organizing a short programme where the students of 2nd year GNM presented a short speech highlighting on the theme which focuses on how we can make changes in our everyday lives to reduce the heavy burden of plastic pollution on our natural places ,our wildlife- and our own health . Later on, plantation activities were carried out where the students, teachers and staff of NEPNI School of Nursing actively participated in the programme.
