Event: “World No Tobacco Day”

World No Tobacco Day was first introduced in the year 1987 by the World Health Organization to be celebrated as a most recognized event all over the world in order to make people easily get aware of all the problems and health complications occurred by the tobacco chewing or smoking to prevent all the health hazards to make the whole world free of tobacco and healthy world of people.
NEPNI School of Nursing celebrated this day on 31st May, 2017 with colorful & glamorous activities, where community peoples were invited after a survey done at the community level. At the programme, Administrative Officer Madam Mrs. Rashida Begum, Senior Advisor, Principal Ma’am GNM & ANM NEPNI School of Nursing, Nursing faculties, non-teaching & all the students were present.
First of all, Welcome speech was given by our ANM Final year student. Motivational speech was given by our Advisor Sir, Principal Ma’am and our Administrative Officer Madam based on the theme of the day.
At the programme students delivered a health education to the community people on the causes of Smoking, Effects of chewing Tobacco, different health hazards and risk for chewing Tobacco, and the preventive measures for the health hazards with the help of different A.V aids like charts, flash cards and power point presentation. A light refreshment was distributed to the group.
At last conclusion and vote of thanks was given by our Nursing faculty Ms. Snigdha Das.
