REPORT ON WORLD ORS DAY

VENUE: MULTIPURPOSE HALL CUM LIBRARY

         World ORS Day is celebrated every year on 29th July to highlight the importance of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) as a cost effective method to health intervention. We, the faculty of NEPNI School of Nursing along with the students and non-teaching staff also celebrated this day by organizing a short programme. Children from a nearby masjid which is named as Masjid-e-Omar were being invited at the programme including their mentors. A role play was prepared by the 2nd Year ANM students to create awareness among them.  They were taught to prepare ORS at home and our students also highlighted about the importance of maintaining cleanliness while consumption and preparation of food and they were also taught about the medical hand washing techniques. At the end of the role play, the children were given health education regarding health hygiene and ORS Packets were distributed to each and everyone present during the event.
